2016 Petite Sirah

2016 Petite Sirah

Our 2016 vintage is so dark and inky, it stains the glass. On the nose you’ll find aromas of rich dark fruit, caramel and a hint of vanilla from the oak. These aromas lead to a burst of pomegranate on the palate followed by flavors of Java plum, blackberries and a hint of baking spice. These dark fruit flavors mellow out the tannins typical of a great Petite Sirah. We are excited to release this award winner to you first!

2016 Merlot

2016 Merlot

Hidden Oak Vineyard

As many of you know, Steve has been wanting to make a single varietal Merlot as he’s always felt that it has become an underappreciated varietal. We’ve always loved what it has done as a blending grape and we’ve found some phenomenal barrels when tasting through our wines during the aging process. When blending our 2016 vintage, he found four standout barrels from Hidden Oak Vineyard and decided to make a single varietal Merlot for the first time. This wine begins with a beautiful garnet color which leads to aromas of cranberry and earthy notes. As you let this wine open up in your glass, you’ll find flavors of pomegranate, red raspberry and notes of toasted oak! The complexity of this wine will continue to develop in bottle and it will age beautifully – if you can wait!

Retail: $38.00 Club: $30.40

2016 Insider

2016 Insider

We are excited to share this year’s Insider blend with you as it is our first Carignane dominated blend! The structure and fruit from these three varietals created an incredibly well-balanced blend. The beautiful deep purple color and enticing nose of dark fruit, anise and a hint of cinnamon excite your senses. You’ll find big fruit flavors of boysenberry and blackberry on the palate. Lush and silky, the long finish just keeps on going. This wine has already received a Double Gold at the San Francisco Chronicle competition prior to release so we can’t wait for you to enjoy it!

2013 El Tempo

2013 El Tempo

In 2013, we had the opportunity to source Tempranillo for the first time. As we tasted this from barrel, we quickly learned that this varietal needed more time so we tucked it away in our cellar and waited patiently and we know you’ll be glad we did! The Tempranillo blended beautifully with the Petite Sirah and Mourvèdre. The rich purple hue and seductive aromas of dark fruit, cedar and cherry cola lure you to a well structured wine with a big, bold finish. The extended barrel aging created a phenomenal blend that we are excited to share with you first!
