Our 07 Syrah continues in the footsteps of our earlier award winning Syrah from Lock Vineyard – fantastic! Beginning with the deep garnet color typical of a great Syrah, the nose of fruit, spice and overtones of chocolate leads you to an incredibly well balanced wine with layers of complexity and a long lingering finish! Only 215 cases of this incredible wine were produced!

2007 "Rendition"
Normally blended as our traditional Rhone style blend or the “GSM”, our 2007 Écluse “Rendition” is a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Zinfandel. Because we were unable to source enough good Mourvedre we decided to remain true to our commitment to make the best wine from the best fruit available. The result – extraordinary! To quote Robert parker "it is a knockout. Sexy and opulent with loads of spice box, pepper kirsch, and black currants, it is make in a seductive, broad, savory style with medium to full body, and not a hard edge to be found." Beautifully approachable from its nose to finish Rendition can only be described as fabulous!
Only 325 cases of this exemplary wine were produced!

2007 "Improv"

This is the inaugural release of this wonderful eclectic blend of our wonderful Syrah and Zinfandel has opened to rave reviews. It just may be one of our most promising blends! Anxiously awaited by those who barrel tasted this wine, it does not disappoint! To quote Robert Parker, "This is another layered, medium to full-bodied, opulent, seductive red exhibiting a dense ruby/purple color as well as a boatload of blue and black fruits interwoven with notions of mountain berries, earth, and spice” - it's fantastic! Only 330 cases of this spectacular wine were produced!

2006 "Ensemble"
This award winning handcrafted unique blend can only be described as a lush, supple and elegant wine. The fabulous nose invites you to explore the harmony of these Bordeaux varietals dominated by our classic Lock Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. The incredible color leads you to black cherry and currant overtones with the additional fruit and spice and deep violet and floral notes brought to this blend by the Petit Verdot and Merlot. This year's Ensemble has a wonderful tannin/acid balance and with its long, lingering finish leaves you wishing for more! Very approachable now but will show off its luscious style beautifully as it ages. IF you can hold on to it for a year or even two you will be greatly rewarded. Only 392 cases of this elegant wine were produced!

2006 "Rendition"
Due to the fabulous response to our first release we can only describe our 2006 Rendition as extraordinary! Anchored with the meaty, dark fruit features and the rich color of our signature Syrah and married with the brighter fruit and color of the Grenache and spiciness of the Mourvèdre created this elegant rich wine with perfect balance. Beautifully approachable from its nose to finish Rendition can only be described as fabulous! Only 429 cases of this elegant wine were produced!

Our 2005 Lock Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a classically structured Cab with aromas of blackberry, coffee and chocolate which leads to well balanced tannins, acid and a wonderful mid-mouth feel. It is a rich, bold and velvety smooth wine that displays a gorgeous ruby-garnet color. Only 389 cases of this exemplary wine were produced!

2004 "Ensemble"
Our 2004 Ensemble was our very first Écluse blend! The word Ensemble is described as ‘all the parts of something put together that are in harmony’ and that truly describes this wine. The wonderful nose invites you to explore the harmony of these marvelous varietals as you discover the layers of fruit and spice flavors, the subtle, approachable tannin structure and the long lingering finish. Bottle aging since the Spring of 2005, it is still showing a wonderful tannin structure. Opening up dramatically in the glass, it certainly will benefit from decanting! A spectacular wine! Enjoy! Only 220 cases of this elegant wine were produced!
